Things You Need to Know
We founded Amatour Golf wanting to give our players an enjoyable, fair & rewarding golf experience in a competitive but friendly environment - playing at some really great courses.
All events are singles Stableford & open to amateur players with a bona fide handicap index of 18.0 or less, this handicap can be gained at a golf club in the normal way or via the England iGolf arrangement. Golfshake or society handicaps will not be sufficient.
Players with a handicap of up to 24.0 may be allowed at some events (contact us before booking) but will have to play from index of 18 to be eligible for prizes/order of merit. We may ask for evidence of qualifying scores obtained and access to your England Golf profile using the friend system.
Players without official or qualifying handicaps are welcome to casual play at events if space & club rules allow. We also operate a waiting list for all events.
Handicaps should be adjusted after each event, you will either need to submit cards via your home club handicap secretary or enter casual round scores using MY EG app.
Players can play together with friends and request preferred times, groups of four or more will be split up.
All live leaderboards/apps we may use at events are for information purposes only, final positions only confirmed after verification of scores through cards and handicap checks. The organiser's decision is final.
2's Super Pot. All 2's scored during the course of the tour will be entered into the draw for the single top prize.
The overall tour winner can win 2's super pot.
Each 2 scored is one entry to draw, with 1 bonus entries for each NTP winner, a 2 on a par 4/5 gets 5 bonus entries & any hole in one gets 10 bonus entries.
The 2's super pot prize for 2024 is fixed at £100
Pot paid as vouchers.
We will operate within all applicable local rules in force at the time and location of events. If any event needs to be postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, a credit will be given for the rearranged event or alternative event at a different course of the same or similar value.
If any event is cancelled due to weather - we will endeavor to re-arrange - if not possible then a credit is given for a casual round - all subject to individual course T&Cs.
We can process refunds if your plans change up to 8 weeks prior to event but a small admin fee will apply due to costs incurred by those paying by card.
Pace of play is always important, as a Stableford competition, we encourage players to pick up when unable to score.
All players must abide by rules of golf, local rules and general good golfing etiquette.
